Terms

Last updated 2 November 2026

StockRun is operated by Industry 4.0 Consultants Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales. These terms apply to shops that subscribe to StockRun and to drivers who work through it. By creating an account you agree to them. Questions: use our contact form.

1. What StockRun does

StockRun provides an on-call driver who buys stock for your shop from cash-and-carry and wholesale suppliers and delivers it to your premises in agreed delivery slots. You tell us what you need in the app; the driver buys it, pays the supplier and brings it to you with the supplier’s invoice.

2. Shop plans

  • Plans (Weekend, Full Week and Pay per Run) are monthly subscriptions. The price, the on-call hours and any per-run charge are shown on our website and in your dashboard before you subscribe.
  • You pay by Direct Debit or bank transfer (and by card only where we offer it). The payment provider’s processing fee for your chosen method is shown before you pay and added to the amount.
  • Emergency restocks ordered after a slot’s cut-off carry a fixed emergency fee, shown before you send the order.
  • You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your dashboard. Cancelling stops future billing; the current month is not refunded unless the law requires it.

3. Your shopping balance

  • Stock is paid for from a prepaid shopping balance that you top up. We charge your balance the exact amount on the supplier’s invoice for the items bought for you. We do not add a mark-up to stock.
  • You can only place an order when your available balance covers the order’s estimated cost and our minimum order balance.
  • Items that can’t be bought (for example out of stock or out of season) are not charged, and you’re told why.
  • Your balance is not a bank account and earns no interest. If you close your account we refund any unused balance to you, less anything you owe us.

4. Orders and delivery

  • Orders are delivered in the slot you choose if sent before its cut-off. Times are targets, not guarantees; traffic, supplier queues and stock levels can cause delays.
  • Someone must be available to receive deliveries. Check deliveries on arrival and tell us about anything missing or damaged within 24 hours through the app or our contact form.
  • Suppliers’ product descriptions, prices and availability are theirs. We buy the closest match to your request and tell you about substitutions.
  • You are responsible for anything with an age or licence restriction you ask us to buy, and for the products being lawful for your business.

5. Drivers

  • Drivers apply through our website and work only after we approve them. Drivers are independent contractors, not employees, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
  • Drivers are paid through Stripe to their own bank account. Approved expenses for stock bought for shops are repaid from the shops’ balances; pay is paid monthly for the days worked at the agreed rate.
  • Drivers must hold a valid licence and the right to work in the UK, keep their vehicle roadworthy and insured for business use, upload genuine supplier invoices, and keep shops’ information confidential.
  • We may pause or end a driver’s access if these terms are broken or if shops’ safety or money is at risk.

6. Fair use and accounts

  • Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Don’t misuse the service, try to access other people’s data or interfere with how it works.
  • We may suspend accounts that are unpaid or misused, after telling you why.

7. Liability

We take reasonable care in providing the service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit or lost sales, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability to a shop in any month is limited to the plan fees and the value of the stock order concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell you in the app or by email before material changes take effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
