Privacy notice
Last updated 2 November 2026
StockRun is operated by Industry 4.0 Consultants Ltd, the data controller for the personal data described here. To ask about your data or exercise your rights, use our contact form and choose “Privacy”.
What we collect
- Shops: shop name, contact email, mobile number, delivery address, orders, item photos you upload, balance and payment history.
- Drivers: name, email, mobile, area, vehicle type, the jobs and trips you do, supplier invoices you upload, delivery photos, and payment history.
- Everyone: sign-in details (your password is stored only as a secure hash), your language and appearance settings, and basic technical logs needed to keep the service secure.
Why we use it
- To run the service: take orders, plan routes, deliver stock and issue receipts.
- To take payments, keep balances and pay drivers.
- To keep accounts secure and prevent fraud.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and legal obligations (for example keeping financial records).
Who we share it with
- Stripe processes payments, Direct Debits, bank transfers and driver payouts. Card and bank details are entered with Stripe and never stored by us. Drivers verify their identity and bank account with Stripe.
- Our hosting and database providers store the app and its data securely.
- Drivers see the shop name, address, phone number and items for jobs given to them. Shops see the driver’s name on their orders.
- If you connect StockRun to an AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT), that assistant can read your own orders with your permission. You can remove the connection at any time in the assistant’s settings.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open. Orders, invoices and payment records are kept for six years for tax and accounting. When you close your account we delete or anonymise the rest within 90 days.
Cookies
We only use cookies and local storage that the service needs: keeping you signed in and remembering your language and light/dark setting. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
